Once you are properly registered, you may log-on and begin making your race picks.
1) Race Picks:
Select one driver from each of the ten driver vs. driver match-ups that are designated for each race. One pick point is awarded for each match-up that is selected correctly. The driver that finishes the race ahead of their competitor is considered the correct selection. A tie between drivers in a match-up will result in both drivers being considered the correct selection. YOUR PICKS MUST BE ENTERED BY THE DATE SPECIFIED ON THE MEMBER AND MAKE PICKS PAGES. You must be logged in to make your race picks.
2) Tiebreak Picks:
Enter in the number of match-ups you think you will select correctly without going over. The tiebreak guess will be awarded as tiebreak points if the guess is equal to or less than the number of correctly selected match-ups. EXAMPLE A: Player enters a tiebreak guess of 6, and makes 5 correct matchup selections; Player is awarded 0 tiebreak points. EXAMPLE B: Player enters a tiebreak guess of 3, and makes 4 correct matchup selections; Player is awarded 3 tiebreak points. EXAMPLE C: Player enters a tiebreak guess of 2, and makes 2 correct matchup selections; Player is awarded 2 tiebreak points. YOUR ENTRY MUST BE SUBMITTED BY THE TIME SPECIFIED ON THE MEMBER AND MAKE PICKS PAGES. You must be logged in to make your tiebreak pick.
Please note that any race pick left blank in any given match-up will automatically be entered as an incorrect answer and no points will be awarded. To avoid this you must make a selection for all of the match-ups for each race as well as submit a tiebreak guess.
C. Determination of Winners:
1) Race winners of the Contest, if applicable, are determined by counting up the number of pick points each player has earned for a given race. The Grand Prize winner of the Contest, if applicable, is determined by counting up the number of pick points each player has earned throughout the course of the entire Contest. Other Prizes, if applicable, will be awarded to players with the next highest pick point total.
2) In the event of a tie in pick points earned in a given race, the race winner, if applicable, will be determined by looking at the tiebreak points the tied players have earned for that race. In case there is a tie in pick points and tiebreak points for a race, then the race winner, if applicable, will be selected in a random drawing from all eligible tied contestants. In the event of a tie in total pick points earned throughout the season, the Grand Prize winner, if applicable, will be determined by looking at the tiebreak points the tied players have earned throughout the season. In the case of a tie in total pick points earned throughout the season and total tiebreak points earned throughout the season, the Grand Prize winner, if applicable, and other prize winners, if applicable, will be selected in a random drawing from all eligible tied contestants.
In the event that the 2009 Racing Season is postponed, terminated early, or cancelled for any reason (such as a strike or lockout), the Station reserves the right to award prizes based on scores at the time the season is disrupted, or to cancel, modify or suspend the Contest at its discretion.
